Nila wanted her alive. Black bag operations are not at all near the top of my specialties. It is especially difficult when the girl I am kidnapping is the new ‘Legend of Madness’. Infiltration was easy. Elimination and disposal of her guards was easy also. Carrying the unconscious girl on my back through the bowls of Grim’s tower was different.
The order of madness was good at keeping secrets. Even I didn’t know that Grim’s tower was not a tower at all but a collection of deep cellars and dripping dungeons beneath West Port’s various palaces and market districts. It was enclosed, and though it was dark, there was little room for me to maneuver.
As I slipped silently from room to room carrying my human cargo, I checked every dungeon cell I ran across to see if Channielle had come earlier than Nila had predicted.
I felt relieved that I hadn’t run into any of the Seekers(The seven protectors of the Legend of Madness). I could possibly beat one in open combat, but any more and I would not last long.
(Yes, its short and incomplete, but I just got a facebook and have been spending way too much time on it.)
Nice one, I actually enjoyed that bit. :)
