After Nila left Randy grumbled, "I'm taking this hostage back into the woods to get backup. You can come with me or stay here to await your fates."
I raised my eyebrow at him, "Do whatever you want. We're going to find Will and figure out what's going on here."
Randy glared at me and turned back towards the forest in the carriage. He faded into the darkness.

Once out of sight, Randy was jumped by a dark figure hiding on a tower wall.

Amber and I headed towards Will's hotel, unaware of Randy's tribulation. His room was easy to spot, as it was the only one with a light (candle) on and the drapes blowing through the open window. We decided to scale the wall so not to wake any of the other guests staying there.

I climbed in first. Cordell, who was hiding against the wall, grabbed me and put me in a headlock. I tried to remain calm as the cold metal of her dagger tickled my chin.

Amber jumped in shortly afterwards, "What are you doing? It's us! Put down the dagger."

Cordell, a little stunned, finally looked at her hostage, "Oh, it is you."

After relinquishing me, "Yeah, try that again and I'll throw you out this window. Where's Will?"

"He left some time ago, according to this note, he should be back shortly."
