The Three

(I'm taking a few liberties with Shilon in this one, hope you don't mind.)

Two shadows jumped down in front of Shilon, who was busy running through the streets. At first he thought they were seekers but one of them pushed him to the side and caught a dagger that had been thrown at Shilon's back.

"They are using Dragon Rage," The other said. "They'll be hard to kill, breaking bones and killing them won't be good enough."

"That's why I'm here," The first said as he drew his weapon and charged.

The first one fell after the weapon cut straight through the defense and he tried to move on the ground but to no avail. The other three slowed and came slower.

Shilon breathed more easily and set down the girl, "One for each of us."

"Just like old times brother," The one who was next to him said. "For Yansen."

Shilon felt a peace flowing through him he had not felt sense his days when he stood back to back with Yansen and Winstil.

"Winstil," Shilon grinned. "I thought you'd died ages ago. You stayed behind to fight those armies while the rest of us escaped with the princess."

The other shook his head, "I made my escape as soon as you were safe and I've been in hiding ever since."

"Then who is he?" Shilon inquired. "Yansen is dead but he is as skilled or better."

The man was fighting the three of them alone at the moment and having good success holding his own.

"It won't matter if we don't help him," Winstil said. "Though he may fight like a demi he can die, just like all of us."

"Agreed."

After a few minutes of fighting the four seekers lay on the ground and two of The Three leaned on their weapons or walls. The one who charged first began to move.

"We must leave," He glanced back at us. "I could stand another fight, but you two are getting tired."

"He's right you know," Winstil smirked.

Shilon turned but the third man had disappeared. He looked back but Winstil was also gone. Sent to protect me and then they must be on their ways. Just like old times. He had a genuine smile the first time since he'd last seen his daughter.
