"Vahn Grey!"

I nearly choked on my drink when I heard him. I looked and held my nose, "Randy, what are you doing in Westport and, more importantly, why do you smell so awful?"

Randy had his usual grin, "Not sure really, but I'm here looking for something that was stolen."

I turned back to the barkeeper, "Get him a bath and some new clothes. On me." After the barkeeper walked off I looked back at him, "I am a merchant and if you came here it's because you think someone might be trying to sell it. I could put out some feelers and see what's going on with it, but you'd have to tell me more about the item in question."

I could see Randy was hesitant, so it must be something extremely important.

"How about you go take that shower and think about it and give me your answer when you are done," I stood and started out the door. "I'll be three doors down to the right in my office."
