I ran quickly to the carriage and hopped inside. Gertrude was patching the injury and I laughed slightly.
The girl, Mira, was only semiconscious and the injury wasn't actually that large.
"The bleeding isn't that bad," I relaxed. "Just a concussion." I concluded as I checked her eyes. "As soon as Thelma gets back we'll be on our way."
I turned to go before pulling out the small wooden box and handing it to Gertrude. I didn't respond to her curious glance and I hopped out of the carriage to face Thelma.
I smiled, "This is for you." I handed her a piece of wood attached to a string that would, as for as Mira was concerned, look like the key. "And don't worry about girl, she'll be fine in a few hours. Just a little bump on the head."
Thelma looked very relieved and I helped her into the carriage before I began driving to the next town.
Please visit the sister site to light in the darkness and post your character's background and information there before posting on the story. oh thank goodness she is ok. I cant post tonight so just keep mira asleep for a while.nan thank you guys for savin her i was really worried she wasnt gonna make it
ReplyDeleteyeah, well she isn't saved yet. if she slips into that coma then what will you do? lol, perhaps Will will stop at the stream for a bucket of cold water so Bonnie can administer cold rags to Mira's forehead.
