(Five Minutes before William's battle with Taber)
Blood! I shivered as I tossed another human pest’s body to the ground. The warm matter smothered about my entire frame kept all of my pain away. The relief was so… wonderful. I, for once, was in an impenetrable peace; so much that comfort consumed my entire body.
I could think. My mind was mine to control. Thoughts and plans formulated. Even though screaming filled the halls of my home, I could focus past them. My mind drifted to the small achievement of breaking into the house without seeing the light of the outside. I was fortunate to try this during the I was too hungry though, too greedy for blood, and so I left the home and went out of the house to consume others. I was fortunate that I tried this trap during the night hours. Another fault was how cumbersome I was in the small spaces of the home. My victim was easy to break, but I remember others being so frustrating to kill. It made my anger grow, it made my hunger intensify. I needed to bring the human pests to me.
I did not go into the rat’s nest. When I broke their walls, they spilled out and came to me. I could consume them easier when they were here, in my home.
The rotting wood is not only used as flooring, it also makes up the foundations for many of the older buildings, like the pub on Saint Coolins Street. If I were to remove the supports the building would inevitably…
The screams started to enter my mind and my skin started to burn. I moved to a bewildered drunk who was struggling about at the base of my feeding pile. I quickly appeased my appetite and retained my trail of thought.
These day projects will take time, and I will need my sanity to perform them. I will need to collect prey that will stay warm for me during my long hours of labor. I must collect live humans; they will stay warmer then dead ones.
I must keep them here. Only in this sanctuary can I not smell their putrid stinks. I don’t know yet what to do about the noise, but I am sure I can think of something.
I noticed a man in monkish garb flopping about in the pile of bodies, but decided to save him for another time. He was different from the others. He had the smell of blood on him, beneath all the other wretched scents.
I began to feel the pain again coming on sharply. I made my way to one of the exits to my home and ascended into the city alleys. That is when I smelt something… delicious!

I rushed through it, so tell me of any contradictions. I also wrote most of it before I realized that John had posted.
ReplyDeleteOh no it's great. Not any big issues on story contradiction.
