"he didn't save me." I mumbled under my breath as climbed out of the pit. I had a mix of emotions when I saw Mira. I knew she was a spy, but I did not expect Shilon to be her master. Though, if I had to be stuck with anyone, I was glad it was her.

"How do we smell like death?" I asked Mira, afraid of what her response would be.
"Like rotting flesh, I guess." she made a disgusted face as she thought of what this meant.
"Great, and I just took a bath!" we both laughed, then discussed how we would make ourselves smell putrid.

"If only Randy was here, "Mira started, "He smelled awful!"

I nearly choked trying not to laugh, "yeah, maybe it's a good thing he left."

"You say something about that scum Randy?" a gruff man came through a wooden gate from the alley, "that mut's the reason my wench is dead."

We looked at him and raised an eyebrow, "know where we could find the brute?" I asked, trying to make him believe we had our own bone to pick with him.

"Not sure exactly, last I heard he was headed to some hotel lookin' for some foxy ladies, such as yourself, and some gambling fool."

"Thank you much." Mira tried to act cordial as we ran off.

"it's back to the hotel I guess." I said slightly annoyed that we were going in circles.

"Yeah, I wonder what kind of trouble Randy has been stirring up without us." Mira scoffed.

She really was one of the most pleasant people to be with.
