Oh geez! Now I can see why Will and Bonnie deserted this kid. Look at the mess she's gotten me into!
"Uh-hem!" The handsome young Franklin grunted. "Play something." He mumbled to me as he kept a fake grin on his face.
"Play something?" I asked, more to myself than to him.
"Come now, we don't have all day. Do something." he kept mumbling, "you're embarrassing me in front of the captain."
I stood up. I didn't know what to do. "I am sorry, but I cannot play for you, I have forgotten my bow." I was about to leave the stage when someone from the crowd yelled out, "then sing!"
Franklin nodded to me and persuaded me back onto the stage. I was so nervous, I had never sang before.
When I opened my mouth something terrible happened! I quickly cupped my hand over my mouth and ran to the nearest exit. Luckily there was a barrel right outside the door.
Once I had finished puking my guts out, I looked back towards the door. Franklin was there watching. How embarrassing!
"I am sorry dear lady," I wrapped his arm around my shoulders and wiped my chin with his handkerchief, "had I known you had stage fright I never would have asked you."
He led me back inside, but instead of taking me to the main ballroom, he took me to a room just down the hall. "I think you should rest here, where it's not so loud. I have to give a speech now, but I will return shortly to see how you are feeling."

ReplyDeleteoops. well the cover was the musician cases, thats how they got in. it was a trubone case, you wouldn't need a bow, maybe the crowd could have laughed, also Tamitha was next on the roster. she'll get her up-comings. though Mira could save her by doing a comedy skit with Carigin the magnifisint

oh yeah, I forgot it was a trombone case...maybe Mira doesn't know much about instruments, or she was really nervous.
