I had already disappeared when Randy had disappeared around the the corner. I knew he was looking for people and he was probably going to start asking questions that would be better left unasked, at least for now. If this girl didn't agree to help me I didn't want her home compromised.
I walked out of the woods next to them in time to hear Randy announce, "Pardon miss-"
"Excuse me," I interupted, turning the corner and seing the milk maid. "We are lost and were wondering where the nearest town was."
She looked somewhat concerned and so I added, "I assure you we are just passing through. We are on a pilgrimage from the monastery and I know we don't look the part but we are harmless little monks in training. Right Randy?"
I continued unabated, "So will you help to holy men in search for enlightenment?"
She nodded and pointed in a direction, "Through those woods you'll find a road leading to the town. You can just follow that and be there in no time."
"Thank you," I finished. "Let us depart Randolph. The holy city awaits us far from here."
(Edit* It's open if you want to talk to her about something else but my character might smack you with his staff for it.)
Please visit the sister site to light in the darkness and post your character's background and information there before posting on the story. You may also post descriptions of weapons (land dragons, etc) or places there. Your background doesn't have to be as lengthy as Snim's. Please read the interlude (there) and storyline posts (on this blog) before entering the story.
