Bonita

I raised an eyebrow as my captor fell to his knees and cried, then got up as if nothing happened. "what do you have to say for yourself" I heard from behind me. I whipped around quickly knocking the staff and spear out from under the man, catching him off guard and nearly knocking him off balance. "I have nothing to to say to you. Your people took what is rightfully mine and built a palace there. That land was my inheritance. (turning to Will)What right do you have to come into my home in the middle of the night? I don't barge in on your when you're trying to sleep. Now, if you'll excuse me I am going back to bed and I would appreciate it if you cover my hiding spot with these branches and forget you ever found me. I will not steal from you again." I reached into my pocket and pulled out the remaining half of the loaf, "I don't want to steal your last meal, you may need it to keep strength is if Bartholomew and his men spot you. You'd be wise to travel at night. There is another burrow a few yards south, you may seek refuge there." I started to turn but noticed the men weren't moving. "Look, you can't stay here, and we all need to rest. If you stay in that shabby tent you are begging the wolves to attack you. That's their hunting ground you set camp on. Now go before I use your spear against you." I shooed them away and crawled back into my tunnel, pulling some branches in behind me. I had the sinking feeling that this was not the last I would see of these monks. I heard they were supposed to be gentle folks, but it confused me that they were trying to catch me. I wondered what they were going to do now that they found my hiding spot. I didn't want to move again, it's hard work making a new home.
